Passionate About Improving Others
Chris Higgins Goalkeeping started in 2008 as Goalkeeping SA and has also been known as Sells Goalkeeping Academy Australia. Our aim is to provide quality goalkeeper coaching to those young keepers that weren't receiving any at club level or who are looking for an alternative pathway.
CHGK has produced many state team, SIP, Skilleroo, NTC and state team futsal keepers. We have had young keepers invited in to trial or train at clubs such as Wigan. Everton. Aston Villa. Derby County. Fleetwood Town, Crystal Palace, Watford and Burton Albion.
Head coach and owner Chris Higgins has coached many senior goalkeepers at NPL, State League 1 and State League 2 level. Chris is a former junior state team goalkeeper, former NPL keeper and former Australian Futsal international. He is also a former Football South Australia state team junior goalkeeping coach and the former Football South Australia state Futsal teams goalkeeping coach.
Chris currently holds his CHGK academy sessions and one on one sessions throughout the week for both Junior and Senior keepers.
In 2026, CHGK came under the banner of former Portsmouth Chelsea Bournemouth and AC Milan goalkeeper Asmir Begovic's worldwide ABGK Academy.
